Engraving or printing?

Need a fully black logo?
Let’s look at UV printing.

Laser engraving works with the material’s surface; the result depends on the metal, coating, and settings. It is not the same as adding opaque black ink.

For a fully black graphic on aluminum, a metal business card, or another approved object, we usually recommend UV printing. It is also the route to review for full-color artwork. Send the item and finish requirements so we can recommend the right process.

PrintAWorld has studios in Glendale, Queens, and Brooklyn. Drop-off and pickup are arranged by appointment at the location confirmed for your project. Send item details first and wait for the receiving location before visiting or booking a courier.

Do you offer next-day laser engraving in NYC?

Standard engraving lead time is 2–3 weeks. Some suitable projects can be completed as fast as next day or within a week, depending on scope, availability, and how quickly items reach us. Rush work is confirmed project by project. Include transit time when planning your in-hand date.

How much does laser engraving in NYC cost?

PrintAWorld’s laser engraving setup fee is $75, plus per-piece production. Approximate production ranges are $10–$25 per piece for small items, $45–$65 per piece for medium items, and $100+ per piece for large items. Item size, engraving size, material, complexity, quantity, and rush requirements determine the quote. These are budget ranges, not fixed size categories or an hourly rate.

Can you engrave a metal logo or business card?

We review metal logos and card projects using our MOPA laser, with a maximum engraving area of 8 × 8 inches. We test the actual metal and finish first. If the design needs to be fully black or full color, we usually recommend reviewing UV printing instead.
